Trick-or-Treat: Myles and Gus Take on Halloween!

If you’ve been following our journey, you already know that my sweet pup Myles is the star and inspiration behind all of my children’s books. Now that Gus is officially settled into the family, the puppy brother duo is ready to take on their very first holiday together!

As a children’s book author, I spend most of my time dreaming up fun adventures for Myles’ character. But this Halloween, the real-life adventures are taking over. We’ve been counting down the days, and the costumes are officially ready.

Brace yourselves for a monstrously cute duo! This year, Myles and Gus are bringing Disney/Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. to life, with Myles taking on the role of Sully, and little Gus tagging along as his one-eyed best pal, Mike Wazowski.

The Real-Life “Scare Team”

Seeing them side-by-side is an absolute comedy. Myles is being the ultimate big brother, rocking his fluffy blue and purple “Sully” look, while Gus looks like a one-eyed tennis ball zooming around the yard.

Both pups have been practicing their roars all week trying to unleash their inner monsters, and I must say the results are equal parts spooky and adorable. But don’t let their disguises fool you, I suspect the only thing they’ll be frightening this Halloween is an empty food bowl!

Trick-or-Treating with the Crew

Things will get a little extra spooky this evening when Myles and Gus team up with two of our favorite humans – my niece and nephew!

We’ve got our candy buckets ready, the puppy leashes sorted, and we’re all set to collect enough treats to fill a “scream canister.” Myles is already an expert at performing tricks for treats, and I have a feeling Gus is going to follow along in his “paw-prints.”
