The school’s track team is ruled by sleek, towering Greyhounds who are convinced that a short puppy like Myles doesn’t belong on their team. Now, Myles faces his biggest hurdle yet: should he listen to the Greyhounds and stay on the sidelines, or prove that a big heart is faster than long legs?

With a nose for adventure and a heart full of joy, the spirited Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen puppy bounds through life with endless curiosity and charm.
His tousled coat, bright eyes, and ever-wagging tail seem to announce that every moment is meant for discovery—whether he’s chasing leaves across the yard, investigating every scent along the trail, or curling up close after a day of play.
Full of personality and mischief, this little pup turns ordinary days into unforgettable adventures.
About the Author
Ashlee Butler was born and raised in Seymour, Indiana, and still resides there with her PBGV Myles. She is a 2016 graduate from Indiana University, majoring in psychology, and is the author and illustrator of Focus, Myles, Focus!
Throughout her entire community, Ashlee is well known as an animal lover. It’s her love for animals that led her to create the beloved children’s book series A Myles Tale.
When she’s not tagging along on one of Myles’ adventures, she can often be found outdoors photographing local wildlife. Ashlee believes that all children have a hero inside of them just waiting for an adventure of their own.
